How Does Anybody Do This?

What a month it was! Lily was born last month and she’s officially 1 month as of today! When she was born, she was immediately whisked away to the NICU as she was having trouble breathing. Praise God, it only took her 1 day to be able to breathe on her own without a CPAP or supplemental oxygen. For now, she’s a healthy, fussy, reflux-y, crying and screaming little baby (like they all are, so I’m told).

After (about) a weeklong stay at the hospital, we were discharged to go home and Steph’s mom and sister were able to stay with us for the first week at home. Afterwards, my parents flew in to stay with us for two-and-a-half weeks. We’ve had plenty of friends visit with food and gifts and support; I don’t know how anyone could do this without such an ah-mazing support system.

Thank you, so much for your prayers, texts, calls, visits, and everything in between! I feel truly blessed.

Just because the baby was born, doesn’t mean that the world stops! FOCUS entering into Fall Camp season. Please be praying for the students who are attending—and those still on campus looking for real friendships—that connections can be made and lives can be changed.
