July 2025

Into Year 6...

It’s already August! Our apprentices were licensed on July 31 and have started their intensive class over the Old Testament. What an exciting time! More on them in later months!

We’re currently in the middle of a big transition with our database (that has been in process the last 3 months..) It’s taken a lot of brainpower to try to do this well and not drop anything that I am still supposed to keep a pulse on. That, on top of trying to prepare for a baby has been a little more overwhelming than expected. But please pray for me and my team as we try to finish up this migration and hopefully come out better than before!

Our church also went through a big transition… replacing the pebbles on the playground into mulch.. for insurance and safety purposes? Regardless of why, it was a huge project. I was there for maybe 8 of the 11 hours we were out there working. Would it have been nice to hire some experts with the right tools to get this done? For sure. But also it’s a reminder of the church coming together to get things done. People young and old working together towards a singular goal.

Me and Steph went on a babymoon to Chicago where we also got to see her grandmother and extended family in the area. We’re so blessed to be able to go places and see and experience new things! We loved being there, we got to go to The Bean (Cloud Gate), go on an architecture boat tour, go up the Willis Tower (Sears Tower), and try some deep dish pizza.

If you didn’t get to visit Summer FOCUS this year, you missed out! Here I am with two friends, Sharin and Siena, in the upper balcony. What a beautiful sight it is to see college students come together praise the Lord every week and learn more about Him. There’s a short video of worship after service (surprise encore); you’ll notice it’s an encore because there’s no one on bass… because I was supposed to be up there. But I just decided to stay off. Oops. I also linked one of the last sermons that was preached this summer!
